This is the insert side of a quick disconnect coupling. It shuts off the flow when disconected. It makes hooking up to the exit tube quick and easy. It has a 3/8” hose barb for attachment to the exit tube. This provides a tight fit to 5/16” ID vinyl or Laytex tubing.
